Hello and welcome to McArthur Counselling

My name is Linda and I am a Qualified Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist.  Although primarily a CBT therapist I can draw on the many different types of therapeutic approaches learned during my training to provide a more integrative and tailored therapy for you.

As your professional therapist I can help and encourage you to put your problems and feelings into words so that you can begin to consider what changes you want to make and explore ways in which you can move towards achieving them.


I am an Accredited member of the BABCP (British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists), which is the lead organization for CBT in the UK.  As a member I adhere to their standards of conduct, performance and ethics, including clinical supervision and CPD (Continuing Professional Development).  I have full insurance and have been vetted by Disclosure Scotland holding PVG membership certificate.

I have worked at Meridian Lanarkshire where I gained invaluable experience with addictions and a wide range of client issues.  I currently run my own private practice in Glasgow and am also a clinical supervisor for students working towards their counselling diploma in both Glasgow and Edinburgh.
